NOA is one of the largest microfinance institutions in Albania, covering approximately 90% of the country through its 19 branches. The Company provides working capital and fixed asset loans to individual entrepreneurs throughout both rural and urban areas. Originally named Partneri Shqiptar në Mikrokredi (“PSHM”), and previously operating as Opportunity Albania, the Company was established in June of 1998 and began its lending operations in August of 1999, reaching break-even after just three years of operation. NOA is registered as a Non-Banking Financial Institution (“NBFI”) and is headquartered in Tirana, Albania.
