Andrew W. Code

Andy Code is one of the  Advisory Board members of Creation Investments Social Ventures Fund I, II and III and a member of the Audit and Valuation Committees. He is a founder and partner of Promus Capital, a Chicago-based multi-family office and alternative assets manager with more than $950 million under management. Prior to Promus, Mr. Code was a founder and partner of Code Hennessy & Simmons (“CHS”), a Chicago-based, private equity firm with more than $3.0 billion under management. Prior to founding CHS, Mr. Code was a Vice President with Citicorp’s Leveraged Capital Group in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining Citicorp, Mr. Code was employed by American National Bank in Chicago. Mr. Code holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa. He currently serves on the boards of directors of American Laser Centers, LLC; The Hillman Companies, Inc.; Nautic Global Group; SCP Pool Corporation; and Woodstream Corporation. Mr. Code also serves on the boards of directors of the University of Iowa Foundation and Resource Land Holdings.

John (Jack) E. Neal
Jack Neal is one of the Advisory Board members of Creation Investments Social Ventures Fund I, II and III. He is the Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Valuation Committee. Mr. Neal is a partner of a private equity firm and a private investor. He currently serves as one of the trustees of the Calamos Mutual Funds, Equity Residential and is a member of the board of several private companies. Mr. Neal has spent his career in the financial services industry, during which time he has focused primarily on real estate financing. Prior to the merger of JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Bank One, N.A., Mr. Neal led Bank One’s real estate lending and corporate banking businesses. Prior to his work at Bank One, he led the real estate lending businesses at Kemper Financial Services and Continental Bank. Mr. Neal received a bachelor’s degree and a masters of business administration degree from Harvard University.

Dale Hunt

Dale Hunt is the Managing Director of Private Equity for Ascension Investment Management. She has oversight of the private equity portfolios, which includes manager selection and ongoing portfolio management. She has over 35 years of investment industry experience.

Prior to joining Ascension Investment Management, Miss Hunt served as Chief Investment Officer at the West Virginia University Foundation, Morgantown, WV, where she was responsible for managing $750 million in investment assets on behalf of the Foundation, WVU and WVU Hospitals. Prior to joining the WVU Foundation in 2003, she was Managing Director, Global Private Placements, at ABN AMRO and NatWest Markets, and held a number of senior investment banking positions at S.G. Warburg, Prudential Securities, and Smith Barney. She began her career on Wall Street in 1978, and has spent over 20 years focusing on private markets.

Miss Hunt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA, and received her MBA (Finance) degree from Pace University, New York, NY. Miss Hunt spent a number of years living in Brussels, Belgium, and Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, and attended schools in the United Kingdom and Spain.

Jason LaFrance

Jason LaFrance is one of the Advisory Board members of Creation Investments Social Ventures Fund II and III. He is a member of the Audit Committee and Valuation Committee. Mr. LaFrance is a partner of a private investment firm, Dale Capital, and a private investor. Mr. LaFrance was the Executive Vice President of USA Drug prior to a sale to Walgreens. Mr. LaFrance is a board member of other financial institutions, corporations and real estate partnerships.

Bryan Daniels, emeritus

Bryan Daniels was one of the Advisory Board members of Creation Investments Social Ventures Fund I and II.  Mr. Daniels is a founder and partner of Prairie Capital, a Chicago based private equity firm with its latest fund raising $300 million. Mr. Daniels has a career in banking and private equity, and is responsible for deal generation and overseeing due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, along with fundraising and investor relations.

Mr. Daniels also has portfolio management responsibility for Prairie Capital, and is currently a director for nine Prairie Capital portfolio companies, including Chicago Deferred Exchange Corp., Creditors Interchange, Northfield, ProVest, Pyott-Boone Electronics, R3 Education, Taylor Capital Group, Teacher Match LLC, and Titanium Solutions.

Prior to establishing Prairie Capital, Mr. Daniels was a Senior Vice President of commercial banking at American National Bank & Trust Company, an $8 billion subsidiary of Bank One (now part of JP Morgan Chase). Overseeing more than $70 million in preferred stock investments in this division, he also served on the Investment Committee of ANB Mezzanine.

Mr. Daniels graduated magna cum laude from Wabash College with a BA in Mathematics and Chemistry. He received a MBA from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in finance and accounting, and thereafter completed his MS in Computer Science at the University of Chicago.  In addition to his responsibilities at Prairie, Mr. Daniels is a Visiting Committee Member of the Physical Sciences Department at the University of Chicago, which fosters dialogue and creates links with the broader community. Bryan also sits on the board of Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ), a community-supported, public service broadcasting institution. Mr. Daniels and his wife Cathy also support the Music Institute of Chicago, where she is a Board of Trustee.
