When we started Creation Investments, we would spend most of our time explaining the in’s and out’s of microfinance and global poverty. However, articles like the one below are educating the general public about the power and impact of microcredit. I don’t cite every article that comes around as that would be a full time job, but I felt that this one would prove the point that microfinance is a household term. It has become a mainstream method of poverty alleviation. Our mission is to make microfinance itself as widespread as the awareness of the cause. Right now, only 135 million people (of the 4 billion living on less than $2 a day) have access to capital. That is a start, but only a drop in the bucket.
